F.I.G.H.T.

F - Fight your fears and face the giant
I  - Invest time to prepare for war
G - Go against the enemy that confronts         you
H - Have faith, stay focused and keep             hope alive
T - Thank God for victory even as you           take the lead

Life is a battle field. Once a man is born, he is born into war! No wonder Job wrote, “Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble” (Job 14:14). He starts fighting from birth till his last breath.

Life is never a bed of roses; it’s not funfair as we were made to believe. Life, as it were, is warfare, a battle field for fighters! To conquer you must contend. Everyone is in this fight, no one is exclusive. The battle may be spiritual or physical, but it is battle all the same. Our fight may be different but we are all fighting—rich or poor, white or black, old or young. The better you know now, the better for you.

If you want fortune, you must fight for it with all you’ve got. I mean all you’ve got— everything! If all you do is wait for luck, wishing and hoping, you may be left high and dry for long. Even the word L.U.C.K is simply defined as Labouring Under Correct Knowledge. You see, knowledge is vital for your empowerment in the fight of life. It is the lack and slack of knowledge that destroys people. And that’s ignorance—the fool’s arrogance.

“The ignorance of self in other animals is nature but in man it’s a vice (evil)”, says Socrates. Know thyself! Knowledge is illumination. Knowledge is power! Until you know thyself, you can never be thyself. Knowledge is key in the fight of life.

There has never being any conqueror without a conquest--not one--otherwise there exist no fight in the first place. Before the day of battle, everyone is a winner, but after the battle we have winners and losers.

The difference between champions and losers is the ability to keep fighting. Hence, winners are not quitters and quitters can never emerge as winners.

Victory is not just cheap talk, it’s involves fighting and fighting and fighting… If you really want your Canaan, you must be ready to confront and defeat the giants. If you want goliath to go or give way, then go against him and kill him. The mountain you did not confront will keep starring at you, intimidate you, stagnate you and frustrate you. It won’t move an inch until you move it by speaking with authority and power. The truth is, if you cannot wrestle, how then will your life be settled?

Life, as it is designed without your consent, will not give you what you desire but what you intentionally demand and negotiate. Thus, in this context, desire is never enough— you must demand if you even want supplies. If you want things to work in your favour, get to work and stop wishing. If wishes were horse, beggars would ride.

“Faith without work is dead” --Scripture. And I add; Faith without work is fake. Belief without deed, I believe, is indeed dead!
See, wishing, weeping, hoping, praying alone, does not put food on the table. Strategic planning, hard work, network, diligence does.

Presiding Bishop of Faith Tabernacle, Bishop David O. Oyedepo wrote in his book, Success Systems, that “Those that fail to fight today will die as a slave tomorrow”. If you don’t want to die as a slave, fight your way to freedom. It suffices to say here that some people are independent but not free. It is the truth, not just fact that makes you free.

“And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free”.
If you want to emerge as champion tomorrow, be ready to face challenges today. Fear will knock at your door, no doubt. But let faith open the door, and fear would have disappeared.
If the just shall live by his faith, as the Bible states, then he must continue to fight the good fight of faith!
