Oh my gosh! Too many pirates out there! This piece, written some years ago is a clarion call to originality. I remember in those days in secondary school, in the quest to improve on my font (hand writing) I would stare at any beautiful and legible hand-writing I saw. I would sit down and redraw hand-writings letter to letter until it looks like it. If your hand-writing was irresistible, I would make sure I become your best friend and make it a goal to always borrow you notes, not because I want to update my notes but because I want to learn and adopt your writing style. I did this for a while and it worked. But it wasn’t easy at all. The process was strenuous and frustrating but my focus was intact-to make my handwriting more beautiful and legible.
