Happy Democracy Day Nigeria!

We are citizens of this great country called Nigeria.

Nigeria is our fatherland! No matter where we are outside her shores, we are still Nigerians!
She cannot be great without our input, without our collective efforts, without our corporate social responsibility!

Nigeria: Good people, Great Nation.

Hmmm, I'm thinking...well, if Americans can be saying "God Bless America" despite all of their crazy laws validating same sex marriage etal, why can't Nigerians too be saying "God Bless Nigeria?”. We need to change our mentality in this country o. We need to start celebrating ourselves so that the world at large will celebrate us.

We need to believe in the new Nigerian State where the true ideals of democracy will manifest.

We need to speak PEACE into our Jerusalem—Nigeria so that our children will work and walk freely on our streets without any fear or terror.

We cannot ALL just the praying and fasting for our land that corruption should be a thing of the past, the change we so desire begins with each and every one of us.

We need to show love and benevolence not just to our brothers and sisters, but also to the poor and needy around us. Honestly, it is really messy for the masses out there. The sysyem is impoverishing them day-by-day.
The rich, the very successful and the wealthy should please consider the poor, the diligent poor though; they can set up a foundation or a social enterprise system that can help assist the "have nots" around us. BTW, it's a nation building project after all.

Our political leaders should live up to their promises and stop ALL these their shenanigans abeg. Corrupt practices will only project us as bad to the people abroad. The citizenry elected them in their first place. Aba! We want true change and transformation as it were. We want credible, honest, healthy, intelligent, selfless leaders that can help move this country forward.
I'm an ardent believer of the future of this great country.
Despite the disequilibrium in the system, the societal imbalance, the political quagmire, the diversity in our culture, the contemporary evil of corruption, the dishonesty of our elected leaders, the moral decadence, the economic recession, the fall of the Naira, the failed promises by our leaders... Nigeria will be great. She shall be what she is meant to be- The Giant of Africa!
