On #BringBackOurGirls

365 days on
The nation moved on
Our girls are yet to return
...
Their abduction our leaders failed to upturn
The enemies' camp their army could not burn
Our leaders were busy vying for positions and seeking elective offices to run
Whilst about 276 girls laid in the rain as unlucky hostages to some earth's scum at the eye of gun
Our anger subsided from rain to the sun
Our lip service waned before the advent of dawn
Some ‪#‎Bringbackourgirls‬ crusaders made fame and turned the parade to charade and fun
Boko Haram won; Yes! Insurgents won...
In this insecurity warfare, they are the Don
They successfully kept the faith in year one...
Another year ticking away as the life of girls wither one by one...
With a year in the den of cannibals, are those girls still the same one?
Their will must have been broken and their hearts turned to bone!
Their bodies must have been mangled, defiled, abused, shattered, torn and gone...
It only takes sustained contact with chronic evil for a good teenager to become its clone!
We can monitor elections with drones but to sambisa forest we can't deploy a single drone!
The capture and continued disappearance of our girls was sufficient to make winning a Presidential election an impossibility stone...
Since these conquered spoils have served a yearly turn in anguish and pain, will Shekau please leave them alone?
Let's all remember that for every act on earth at Judgement day we will all atone!
